Bishop blasted for calling on the state to target gays

[The Globe and Mail] January 18, 2005--The Roman Catholic bishop of Calgary has brought on a blizzard of criticism and hate mail by sending out a pastoral letter to his flock arguing that the state must use its coercive power either to proscribe or to curtail homosexuality in society's interests.

The Roman Catholic bishop of Calgary has Canadian gays in a tither. I wonder when it became Canadian to countenance sin.
