Catholic, Anglican bishops honor first English martyr of Reformation

[Catholic News Service] May 5, 2005--In a show of religious unity, a Catholic bishop and an Anglican bishop commemorated the death of the first English martyr of the Protestant Reformation.

First English martyr of the Protestant Reformation?! Depends upon whether you are a Catholic or a Protestant. Foxes' Lives of Martyrs certainly does not list John Houghton as a martyr for the English Reformation and the Protestant cause.
