State's Episcopal Diocese addressing same-sex issues

http://www.herald-mail.com/?module=displaystory&story_id=112028&format=html

[The Herald-Mail Online] May 7, 2005--The Episcopal Diocese of Maryland is expected to vote today on resolutions that oppose any federal or state constitutional amendment banning civil same-sex marriages or unions and support legislation that provides benefits to same-sex couples.

If the the Diocesan Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland adopts these resolutions, the Convention will be in effect declaring that the Holy Bible is not the foundation of authority in the Diocese in matters of faith and morality, that the Diocese is choosing the path of apostasy, and that the Diocese is no longer part of the one holy catholic and apostolic church. It will be entering into schism with the Anglican Communion. May God have mercy on the souls of the clergy and people of that Diocese.
