[The Church of England Newspaper] May 6, 2005--Bishop Griswold’s public role at the ARCIC meeting will be problematic for some, as the Windsor Report called upon Bishop Gene Robinson’s consecrating bishops (of whom Bishop Griswold was the chief) not to represent the Anglican Communion in ecumenical gatherings. The Primates’ Dromantine communiqué also asked ECUSA to withdraw from Anglican Communion instruments of unity.

Bishop Griswold’s invitation from the Vatican’s Council for the Promotion of Christian Unity is the second in as many weeks: the CPCU also invited Bishop Griswold to attend Pope Benedict XVI’s inauguration in Rome.
