Anglican-Episcopalian unity tested

[St. Petersburg Times] July 9, 2005--Last month the Anglican Consultative Council, the constitutional instrument of unity in the worldwide Anglican Communion, voted to ask its North American churches to voluntarily withdraw from its meetings for three years. The action came because of the stand the U.S. Episcopal Church and the Anglican Church of Canada have taken regarding the ordination of a noncelibate homosexual man as bishop of New Hampshire and the blessing of same-sex relationships.
