[The Church of England Newspaper] October 6, 2005--Evangelicals were warned this week that “the gloves are off” in the fight for the Gospel. Speaking at the Anglican Evangelical Assembly, the Archdeacon of Exeter, Paul Gardner, said: “The gloves are off as we fight for the gospel now. The liberals see this as a fight to the death – and think we will lose.”
