Divisive Anglican Bishop in New Alcohol Controversy

[Christianity Today UK] February 15, 2006--The first openly gay bishop in the Anglican Communion, Bishop Gene Robinson of New Hampshire has this week admitted that he is participating in treatment for alcoholism.

The question is whether this problem is a new developemnt or long-standing. If it is long-stannding, it should have disqualified him as a candidate for the episcopate.
