Preaching is first mark of a true church, Mohler tells seminarians

[Baptist Press] February 6, 2006--Biblical preaching is central to the task of the church of Jesus Christ, R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, said during the school’s annual spring convocation Jan. 31.

The visible Church of Christ is a congregation of faithful men, in the which the pure word of God is preached and the sacraments be duly ministered according to Christ's ordinance in all those things that of necessity are requisite to the same....
