How can Osama bin Laden be "just another member of 'God's family'" if he has not accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord and repented of all the evil thing that he has done or encited others to do? The Bible teaches that God adopts as his sons (and daughters) only those who believe in Jesus Christ.
