AAC Welcomes New Director of Communications to Staff

[American Anglican Council] 8 May 2007--Nash Nunnery was welcomed today by the American Anglican Council (AAC) staff as the organization’s new director of communications. Hailing from Clinton, Miss., Nunnery will bring to the AAC over 20 years of experience in journalism and media relations. Most recently, Nunnery served as the Public Information Officer for the Office of the Mayor in Jackson, Miss.—a position he held for nearly two years, including the year Hurricane Katrina devastated the area.

“Nash brings an impressive background in professional journalism and media experience, as well as tremendous energy and enthusiasm for the mission of the AAC,” said the Rev. Canon David C. Anderson, AAC president and CEO. “We are very happy to welcome him to our staff.”

Nunnery obtained his bachelor of arts in communications in 2004 from Jackson’s Belhaven College, where he was awarded a Communication Achievement Award for his accomplishments. The Mississippi native has also written for eight publications over the past two decades, most recently the Clinton News and Jackson Christian Family Magazine.

“I am extremely pleased to have the opportunity to serve the AAC,” Nunnery said. “To be a part of such a dynamic organization is very exciting, both personally and professionally, and it’s my desire to contribute to its continued success.”
