GRAS and the intolerance of liberalism

http://www.evangelicals.org/news.asp?id=661

[EV News] 10 May 2007--Whilst we recognise that there are many sincere biblically minded Christians who believe that the Bible permits women to exercise a presbyteral ministry the push to permit this is being led those who deny the authority of Scripture. This is illustrated by a forthcoming conference organised by the Group for the Rescinding of the Act of Synod. This Group wishes to expunge from the Church of England everyone who disagrees with them. However, their keynote speaker at the conference is none other than the Revd Paul Collier. Mr Collier has been an outspoken advocate of sexual immorality, in particular homosexual practice, not least in General Synod although he has generally been careful to use veiled language and innuendo in order to make it difficult for any action to be taken against him. Once someone abandons the authority of the Bible then they are free to come to any conclusion they wish about what is and is not acceptable conduct.
