[The Living Church] 14 June 2007--When Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams visits the House of Bishops of The Episcopal Church in September, meeting planners should learn from scheduling mistakes made in preparing for Archbishop Williams’ visit with the Canadian House of Bishops last spring, according to the Rt. Rev. Michael Ingham, Bishop of the Diocese of New Westminster and the Canadian observer to Executive Council.

Executive Council is meeting June 11-14 in Parsippany, N.J. Bishop Ingham addressed a plenary session of council June 13.

“I think there was a design flaw,” Bishop Ingham said. “I don’t know who prepared the schedule, but we did not give [Archbishop Williams] a chance to ask us questions.
