Revival, Renewal and Awakening: The Spirit's Work in American History And What We Can Learn From It

[Stand Firm] 20 June 2007--Two notes about this. First, I have become deeply interested in revival and the forces that lead to it [other than the work of the Holy Spirit], since there is little doubt that America and the church need revival in a desperate way. Dr. McClymond, the conference keynoter, has just completed a two-volume encyclopedia examining religious revivals in America.

And second . . . the event is being held at a Lutheran church. The church's teaching pastor is an Episcopal priest, Gerald McDermott. And Dr. McClymond himself if an ex-Episcopalian, now a member of an AMiA parish, I believe, in Missouri.

Ah . . . ecumenism!
