[Global South Anglican] 23 June 2007--The Diocese of Canterbury sent a team led by Bishop Graham Cray to the Diocese of Antsiranana. This projected visit was planned a year ago when Bishop Roger Chung Jaomalaza was invited to be an overseas guest speaker at the Diocesan Canterbury clergy Conference at Guildford University . So the team of six people including The Rt Rev Graham Cray Bishop of Maidstone, Rev Ali Duguid, Rev Hilary Jones, Rev Colin Preece, Rev Eileen Routh and Dr Gill Sadler arrived in the Arrachart airport Antsiranana with all their luggage stranded in Milan. However all the team wished that their luggage will arrive in Antsiranana before they departed back home.

The team had to walk the last part of the trip to the Bishopscourt as the Episcopal vehicle had a punctured tyre as it drove in the pot holes. So that was the first providential contact with the people as the team walked in the dusty streets of Diego Suarez.
