Worshipping with the faithful remnant

[Stand Firm] 1 June 2007--Since when does 50 people equal 10% of the congregation of the Falls Church? Well, according to this author, the Falls Church is a "several hundred member" break-away...

Last time I checked, the "several hundred" member breakaway is something of an understatement. Perhaps "several hundred" is an Episcopal euphemism for over 1000? Sort of like the ever present "We've only lost 40 parishes..." line.

In any case, I interned at the Falls Church during seminary and I remember that there was a very small grumbling, er, "faithful remnant" of long-time members still nursing grudges against Dr. Yates for "changing things"; you know, preaching the gospel, building the new sanctuary, and welcoming in all the blasted "new people."

Perhaps in Fr. Pipkin they have found a leader who will bring back to the good old days?
