[Stand Firm] 11 Sep 2007--Until you see that, until, by grace, you see that you are a worm, powerless to save yourself; that apart from grace and the cross you are worthy only of condemnation, you will strive under your own power, pride, and pretence to show yourself “worthy” and reject and despise any proclamation or proposition to the contrary. You will sink behind the façade of “self-esteem” and bury yourself in fine sounding platitudes until, at last, too late, in the light of God’s judgment the truth is made plain.
