[The Tide] 13 Oct 2007--This year’s Synod of the Anglican Communion, Diocese of Calabar, Cross River State, has ended with a call on Christians to embrace fully the tenets of God as a means of bringing more development to the country.

Giving the synthesis of the progress of the church, Bishop Tunde Adeleye said in Ogoja Archedeaconry, the organisation was at least three additional Archdeaconries following a general restructuring and overwhelming evangelism within the area.

Obudu and Okuku Missionary Archdeacon as well as Yala North and South, he explained were at the threshold of being commissioned stressing that the plan was to make the place mature enough to further grow into a higher platform within the organogram of the Church of Nigeria.
