[Anglican Mainstream] 5 Oct 2007--Contacted by The Church of England Newspaper after the UPI story was published, Archbishop Akinola’s office investigated the matter and told the CEN the story was false. Leaders of the Church of Nigeria were dismayed Dr Williams would issue such a harsh statement without first checking upon its veracity.
