[Stand Firm] 6 Oct 2007--Having received in writing a resolution dated September 30, 2007, in which Marcus B. Robertson places himself under the ecclesiastical authority of a province outside The Episcopal Church, thereby renouncing his ordained Ministry in The Episcopal Church, and with the advice and consent of the clerical members of the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia, I pronounce that the said renunciation is hereby accepted. Marcus B. Robertson is herewith released from the obligation of the Ministerial office and is deprived of the right to exercise the gifts and spiritual authority as a Minister of God’s Word and Sacraments conferred in Ordination. This action is taken for causes that do not affect his moral character.
