Kindle a Flame of Sacred Love

[The Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi] 7 Nov 2007--If lesbian and gay people finally had a place at the table, if we were freely invited to kindle our love in all of our churches, would the table look different? If we could finally stop arguing for acceptance, what insights would we bring to the church?

As Anglicans, we are inheritors of an approach to Christian faith that is rooted in scripture, tradition, and reason. What do LGBT Episcopalians offer to that approach? Our retreat, "Kindle a Flame of Sacred Love" A Weekend of Spiritual Renewal" invited conversation and shared theological reflection on the gifts of“Kindling Frames of Sacred Love”.

Sacred love?! Now where does the Rev. Debo Dykes find that in the Scriptures?
