[Pacific Daily News] 22 Nov 2007-- The presiding bishop of The Episcopal Church of the United States, the Most Rev. Katherine Jefferts Schori, gave a sermon to the 570 students of St. John's School yesterday, correlating the season of thanks with the essence of faith.

When asked if she brought a specific message for St. John's female students, Jefferts Schori said her election created a role model proving that the ordained ministry is not closed to anyone, regardless of gender or sexual preference.
