Primate’s principal secretary misinterprets Windsor Report

[Anglican Essentials Canda] 3 Dec 2007--As we saw yesterday, conservative Anglicans criticised the pastoral letter signed by Primate Fred Hiltz and the four Metropolitans for ignoring the larger context of the Anglican crisis, specifically, the same-sex blessings (SSBs) that have been authorised by Bishop Michael Ingham and approved by three diocesan synods.

Paul Feheley, Archbishop Hiltz’s principal secretary, defended the pastoral letter by stating that the Anglican Church of Canada (ACC) understands that SSBs performed in Bp Ingham’s diocese are permissible under the Windsor Report.
