This brief essay explores two of the most common questions asked about the Bible’s view of homosexual practice. First, how bad is homosexual practice according to Scripture? Second, does Scripture’s indictment of homosexual practice apply to committed homosexual unions?

How bad is coming into contact with the dead or with menstrual blood (OT), women speaking in church, or slaves questioning the rights of their masters (NT)? Jesus never stood up for the rights of slaves, but that does not mean that we should not. Jesus never stood up for the rights of homosexuals, but that does not mean that we should not.
