[The Times of India] 29 Aug 2008--The aftermath of attacks on churches in Orissa are being felt in Delhi as well. Schools and colleges affiliated to Church of North India (CNI) are going to remain closed on Friday as a gesture of protest against the ongoing violence in the state.
An official of CNI confirmed that the closure of institutions affiliated to it were to be followed across the city.
Said an CNI official: "The decision has been taken as a mark of protest against the on-going violence in the state. It's a mark of solidarity with our Christian brothers and sisters who have been victim in the violence. Also, it is a sign against those inciting religious hatred and disharmony."
