[Global South Anglican] 19 Sep 2008--The Anglican District of Virginia (ADV) will celebrate its second annual Synod Council meeting that will be held on September 26 and 27. The meeting, which will be held at Church of the Epiphany in Herndon, Va., will center on the theme of “Making Disciples” and will include a keynote address by Dr. J.I. Packer on the morning of Saturday, September 27.

“This is an exciting time in the life of the Anglican District of Virginia. Not only are we enormously blessed to be able to come together to celebrate moving forward with the Gospel for Christ’s church, we also have the great honor of hosting one of the world’s most esteemed theologians - J.I. Packer,” said Jim Oakes, vice-chairman of ADV, an association of Anglican congregations in Virginia.
