[Daily Monitor] 6 Oct 2008--The site of the murder of the legendary Bishop Hannington leaves many guessing as to what became of the historical sacred place. The scene is as undeveloped and bushy as was the case in the 19th century, writes Fred Siminyu.

Tilutangwa Grace Mbaziira the great grandson of Chief Luba who murdered Bishop Hannington led us on a meandering path towards the murder site where the British doctoring preacher met his death, I felt a chill run down my spine.

Looking at the rock on which the Bishop was slain with swords and spears, I marvel at the power of God that compelled the innocent evangelist to leave his comfortable home and family in England to come and struggle to convert the natives to Christianity, in the process shedding his blood, in the then remote section of Africa.
