Labyrinth missing

[Selkirk Journal] 17 Oct 2008--Losing a labyrinth once and getting it back is a miracle in itself. But having it go missing a second time in just eight years, has an East St. Paul church looking above for help. And they hope their prayers will be answered.

“It’s been borrowed without authorization at the moment,” said St. Catherine Anglican Church treasurer Duncan Wood, choosing his words carefully. “Last time, we reported it stolen to the police...but somebody knew somebody and we were able to recover it.”

After a Selkirk Journal article appeared in May 2000, the labyrinth was soon returned and no police charges were ever laid. The labyrinth was actually “borrowed” rather than stolen, said Wood, who is hopeful media coverage will once again result in its safe return.

One must wonder who "borrowed" the labyrinth and why. Neo-Pagans, Wiccans, and similiar groups also practice labyrinth walking.
