[VirtueOnline] 2 Oct 2008--Thirty-seven bishops including two archbishops (no Primates) and 9 other bishops met this week at Uganda Christian University in Mukono to produce a commentary on the Jerusalem Declaration.

The Theological Resource Group of the FCA (GAFCON) recently concluded a five-day workshop (Sept. 28-Oct. 2) to build on the theological underpinnings for the Global South Primates. "This work will be completed by the end of the year, there will be no immediate results to publish," theologian and vice-president of Uganda Christian University, the Rev. Dr. Stephen Noll, told VOL.

Nigerian Archbishop Nicholas Okoh, chairman of the GAFCON Theological Resource Group, was represented by Bishop Nicodemus Okille, Dean of the Province. "The controversy about who Jesus is, almost crippled the Church some time back," he said.He urged Christians to follow the Bible and reject popular distortions.

Uganda's Archbishop Henry Luke Orombi, in August, declared the next 10 years, a decade of mission, urging the Anglican churches to spread the gospel.
