Canon A. T. Cross said...

Bishop Benn is right; the prospect of WO looms over the church like a funnel cloud threatening to destroy two thousand years of biblical, apostolic and patristic order. Nothing in Scripture or Apostolic tradition even remotely condones the practice of women's ordination. I do not at all mean to imply that women have no role in the Church, but I do not believe for one moment that Christ or any of the Apostles or their spiritual heirs would sanction what the "Church" is up to now.
