Unfortunately non-Christians do not make a distinction between "notional" Christians and "convictional" Christians. Trump and Christianity are linked in their mind with two harmful results. Christians in the United States can expect to experience greater antipathy from non-Christians while those out of the United States can expect to experience greater persecution by them. The cause will be the policies Trump adopts and the actions he takes. It is not far-fetched to conclude that the evil one may have had a hand in Trump's success at the polls since he gains the most from the resultant damage inflicted upon the mission of Christ's Church.
