[ABC Radio Australia] December 13, 2004--Police in Indonesia's second largest city, Surabaya, say they'll deploy guards at all 332 Christian churches there during the Christmas season.Surabaya Police Chief Senior Commisioner Eddy Kusuma Wijaya said all 15 Roman Catholic churches and 317 Christian Protestant churches in the capital of the Muslim stronghold province of East Java will get police guards for the period. He was quoted by the official Antara news agency as saying two-thirds of the city's police force would be on Christmas duty.
