[Global South Anglican] January 31, 2006--Archbishop Rowan Williams’ careful crafted statement “Church’s Hope only in Christ” delivered in the Third South to South Encounter engaged the Communion on two fronts: leaders of churches outside of North America and Britain, and - completely unexpected and perhaps of more enduring importance - his colleagues in the West who are increasingly shaping the Communion along ideological lines.
