[The West Australian] 2 Oct 2007--A WA Anglican bishop has condemned a decision which paved the way for women bishops, declaring it “a sad day” for the Church and vowed to continue his diocese’s stance of no women in senior leadership roles.
The Anglican Church of North-West Australia is one of five rebel dioceses which refuse to break a 2000-yearold ban on women from attaining full leadership.
