[Stand Firm] 15 Feb 2008--I think Christopher Hitchens could not be more wrong in the way he arrives at his atheism (short version: Absence of evidence is evidence of absence), but there's no denying that the man possesses a formidable intellect, so whenever he gets Rowan Williams in his sights, I usually pay close attention to what he has to say, mainly because he seems to be able to identify and articulate Williams' failings like few people can.
Last year Hitchens happened to find himself seated at a Georgetown restaurant near the Archbishop during William's sabbatical in Virginia....
