It's a shame that this is being thrown together right after the AMiA (or whatever conference) and people will have to "choose". I am already locked into hotel, flight and conference fees in the other and can't attend both (especially as a "lay" person) and I feel very torn and manipulated. Makes me very sad.

  2. So why is Bob Duncan attending a conference for those connected to Rwanda? Fellowship? Or maybe he wants to draw away church splits from AMiA into the ACNA?

  4. Micky,
The Rwandan House of Bishops chose the dates for the Raleigh assembly such that it did not conflict with the AMiA Winter Conference. The intention was not to manipulate.
As far as I know, those who have requested conference registration refunds from the AMiA have been granted them. You may still be able to receive an AMiA refund, as well as work with hotel and airline to attend the Raleigh conference.

  5. Charlie,
Archbishop Duncan is attending the conference because he was invited to do so. He is a GAFCON primate, as is Archbishop Onesphore Rwaje of Rwanda, and they are collaborating during this time of transition.
