Packer: Too Many Churches in North America Are Playing the Number Game

What concerns me is that leaders and members of unhealthy small churches that are inward looking and not seeking to reach the unchurched use similar arguments to justify or rationalize the failure of their own churches to carry out the Great Commission: "We don't play the numbers game."  So do unhealthy denominations and judicatories. The Episcopal Church is an example. Packer himself is involved in the Anglican Network in Canada, a part of the Anglican Church in North America, which is experiencing very slow growth if it is experiencing any growth at all.
