Half of Anglican Church of Canada's Quebec parishes set to close


Secularism combined with rural flight may lead to the extinction of the Anglican Church of Canada’s Diocese of Quebec with 64 per cent of congregations closing or amalgamating with other parishes in the next five years. Gary Nicolosi, as reported in the article, "Do not be afraid, for there is hope," advocates that the Anglican and United churches in Quebec focus on aging boomers, which is essentially a population base that can expected to dwindle over the next three decades. This is a strategy for extinction.
