Ex-FBI Agent: DC's National Muslim Day Pushes Radical Islam

National Muslim Advocacy Day, being held Monday on Capitol Hill, is a cunning bid by radical Islam to gain political power in the U.S., counterterrorism expert John Guandolo tells Newsmax TV.

"This kind of event has several key elements to it. The first is they're trying to declare the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations is a Muslim political party in the U.S. and candidates are going to have to be vetted by them," Guandolo, a former FBI agent, said on "The Steve Malzberg Show." The formation of a national Muslim lobby, Muslim voting blocs at the national, state, and local levels, and even a Muslim political party merit our attention. As in European countries with sizable Muslim populations, we can expect to see politicians on the Left courting the Muslim vote with similar effects upon national, state, and local politics. As Trevin Wax noted in his article, "Why conservatives want Obama to say 'Islamic' terrorism," the Left shows a marked tendency toward a form of political correctness that excludes "an authentic and reasonable conversation about the religious motivation behind terrorism today." Legitimate conservative concerns are dismissed as "Islamophobia."

As I pointed out in my own article, "Islam, Multiculturalism, and Political Correctness," the media has appointed itself the task of overcoming what it perceives to be "Islamophobia"in the North America. The Huffington Post "Muslim Life" series illustrates what I am talking about. For the media Muslims are the new gays, a segment of the North American population that they perceive to have a disadvantage. The media is saying the same thing about Muslims what it said about gays: "They are just ordinary folks like us." While this is in part true, it does not tell the whole story. This development should raise red flags and set off alarms. We have seen what has happened when the media appointed itself the task of opposing what it perceived as "homophobia" in North America.
