All Hallows Evening Prayer for Saturday Evening (February 13, 2021) Is Now Online
Welcome to All Hallows Evening Prayer, a service of worship in the evening for all pilgrims on the journey to the heavenly city.
In addition to a service of Evening Prayer on Ash Wednesday, February 17, 2021, All Hallows Murray will also provide a penitential service for those who are unable to attend the Ash Wednesday Service at their own church. or who do not have a church whose Ash Wednesday Service that they can attend.
The Scripture reading for this Saturday evening is Luke 5: 1-11 Jesus Calls the First Disciples.
The homily is titled, “Jesus’ Fisherfolk.”
The second psalm is Thomas Keesecker’s arrangement of Carl P. Daw Jr.’s paraphrase of Psalm 84, “How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place” for SAB choir, organ, and optional assembly, available from Augsburg Fortress.
The dismissal song is Michael Joncas’ arrangement of Canon John Fennelly’s paraphrase of St. Patrick’s Breastplate, for SATB voices, assembly, organ, with two trumpets, available from GIA Publications.
