All Hallows Evening Prayer is a service of worship in the evening for all pilgrims on the journey to the heavenly city.
The Sunday after this coming Sunday is Easter Sunday—the Feast of the Resurrection—on which we celebrate Jesus’ rising from the dead. Spring is the perfect time to celebrate the most important feast of the church years. We are surrounded by signs of new life—trees in bud and leaf, flowers in blossom. Every morning is a joyful chorus of nesting birds. Easter Sunday is a Sunday not only to celebrate our Lord’s rising to new life but also to rededicate our lives to him or to dedicate our lives to him for the first time.
The Scripture reading for this Wednesday evening is Ephesians 2:1-10 From Death to Life
The homily is titled “Only by God’s Grace.”
