All Hallows Evening Prayer is a service of worship in the evening for all pilgrims on the journey to the heavenly city.
There will be times in our lives when we will be faced with choosing between God and someone or something else. While God will not desert us if we make the wrong choice, he will not spare us from the consequences of that choice. The people of Israel were faced with a choice between having God as their rightful King and having a sin-prone human being as their king. They made the wrong choice. A large part of the Old Testament records the consequences of their choice.
