Like the Baptist faith, Methodism went west with the pioneers, on foot, by ox-drawn wagon, and on horseback. Anglicanism waited for the steam boat and the rail road. Baptist and Methodist churches dot the entire region. Anglican and Episcopla churches are confined to the towns.
