For Christians kindness is an important way that we express our love of others and in doing so express our love of God and show ourselves to be God’s children.
When we show kindness and empathy in the presence of our children, they learn to be kind.
I am posting links to three articles on kindness. The first article identifies 9 barriers to kindness. The second article describes 11 characteristics of a kind person. The third article draws attention to the decline in kindness and empathy in our culture and examines ways that we can learn to become kinder.
In addition to these articles on kindness, I have included links to two articles on empathy. We can learn to be more empathetic, and empathy is an important skill to have, in order to be more loving and kinder as Christians.Our children can also learn to be more empathetic from us.
