Welcome to Thursday Evenings at All Hallows. This Thursday is the Feast of the Ascension, or Ascension Day, a day on which a number of Christian traditions celebrate Jesus’ bodily ascension into heaven forty days after he rose from the dead on Easter Sunday. In some traditions the feast is celebrated on this coming Sunday, the Sunday after Ascension.
