Elevation Church withdraws from SBC cooperation
After more than two decades of affiliation, Elevation Church in Matthews, N.C., says they no longer desire to cooperate with the SBC. The church informed the SBC Executive Committee of their decision by letter dated June 26.
Elevation Church has not offered a public explanation of why it has decided to withdraw from cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention. Whether its withdrawal from cooperation is fallout from the SBC's recent annual meeting is anyone's guess.
