All Hallows Evening Prayer is a service of worship in the evening for all pilgrims on the journey to the heavenly city.
Today’s reading contains a passage which is often read at child dedications at churches that practice believer baptism and at baptisms at churches that practice infant baptism. The passage is about more than welcoming little children, as important as that is, as we shall see. The Scripture reading for this Sunday evening is Mark 10: 1-16 Jesus Welcomes the Small Children.
