21 Days of Prayer and Fasting: June 1-21

Join other faithful Anglicans and Episcopalians around the nation and world in 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting June 1-21, 2005. You may use the Daily Office Year 1, BCP, to guide your prayer and study. The Daily Lectionary may be found at http://www.satucket.com/lectionary/.

This time of prayer and fasting precedes and coincides with the beginning of the Anglican Consultative Council meeting, which is scheduled to take place June 19-28, 2005 in Nottingham, England. On June 21, the last day of the fast, the Episcopal Church USA (ECUSA) and the Anglican Church of Canada are on the programme for "Consultation" with the ACC, as called for in the Primates' February 2005 Communiqué. The two North American churches will be making their presentations that day to explain their actions in regard to same-sex blessings and ECUSA's voting in of Gene Robinson in 2003 as the first openly-gay bishop. Please use this three-week period of time to pray for the meeting and for all those attending the meeting.
