[The Living Church] 12 Sep 2007--In the life of our church, trust is even more important. Those in whom we vest authority — deacons, priests, and bishops, as well as vestries, councils, and committees — enter into a sacred trust between God and his people. When the conditions which form this sacred trust are violated, the perpetrators forfeit the benefits of the relationship, along with their claim to authority.
