Presiding Bishop: MDG Timetable Probably Won’t Be Met

[The Living Church] 14 Sep 2007--The United States and other developing world nations are making slow progress toward realization of the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), said Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori. But in an address delivered Sept. 12 at the Reconciliation at the Roundtable conference, Bishop Jefferts Schori said the current pace is probably insufficient to achieve the benchmarks by the 2015 deadline.
