[Anglican Mainstream] 14 Sep 2007--Two senior African Bishops, who have been close to the leadership of Western Provinces of the Anglican Communion, have been removed in the last week. Bishop Trevor Mwamba was removed from his post as Dean ( second senior bishop) of the Province of Central Africa. He was recently announced as a plenary speaker at the Modern Churchman’s Union conference in July 2008 along with Gene Robinson. He was a guest of TEC at their General Convention in 2006. Bishop Josiah Idowu-Fearon, recently appointed a Six Preacher at Canterbury Cathedral, was not re-elected as Archbishop of Kaduna. The Church Times reports further on the removal of Bishop Mwamba.
